Effect of Self Weight on a Cantilever Beam
Problem:
A cantilever beam of length 1 m . Determine the deflection caused by the weight of the beam. The beam is to be made of steel with a modulus of elasticity of 200 GPa.
The geometric model is prepared in GMSH and FE analysis is performed in SCIFESOL.
